all good things come to an end, and I have learnt this quite recently. Tumblr and what it advertises, endorses and emits can be good, but equally as bad. I have struggled with body image for a long while and tumblr unfortunately made it worse, much worse.
We can all aspire to be like these perfect tumblr girls, but at what expense? For myself it was my self esteem, body image, confidence and most importantly this damaged my relationship with someone I love so much.
Of course, not everything is the fault of tumblr, but take a think - you find so many great things on this network but you find things that kills you inside because you know it will never be like that for you. My attitude towards tumblr has taken a 180, I must fix myself and I, like a lot of you probably will need to take a step back and build confidence. I found it was a constant battle between what I saw in the mirror and what I had stored up in my mind from tumblr.
Feel free to message me about anything at all, I’ll be on this for another 24 hours and then I’m sorry but it’s goodbye. remember that what you aspire to, can destroy you - never have faith in anything or anyone but yourself. You’re all beautiful, whether you struggle with body image like myself, self harm, depression or even bad habits, if you use tumblr don’t forget who you are in the process, because I did.
